This is Sewemup Mesa.   No, it's not Indian.   Back in the 1800's, there was a rancher here who would rustle cattle from his neighbors, and push them up into these breaks.   He'd cut the brand out, and sew the hole in the hide closed.   When they healed, he'd brand them with his brand, turn them in with his stock, and no one the wiser.   Hence the name, Sew 'Em Up Mesa....
