This trail over rolling slickrock sandstone provides views of Island in the Sky, the La Sal Mountains, the Needles, Big Spring Canyon, and Little Spring Canyon. Bighorn sheep may sometimes be spotted along rocky slopes or in canyon bottoms. Slickrock describes the smooth sandstone surfaces typical of this region. Moderately slippery during dry conditions, slickrock truly lives up to its name during wet or icy conditions. Please enjoy views at a safe distance from cliff edges.
